I honestly don't know why I'm even posting this one. It was a total failure. On my part. I don't blame the recipe and might try it again one day, but I did something to screw it up big time. So big, in fact, that I couldn't even bring myself to take pictures. What did I do wrong? No idea. All I know is I had thin, runny piles of poo when I was done that looked nothing like the above picture and tasted like, well the afore mentioned poo.
If you try these and they work out for you let me know! No matter how long I tried to cook them, I just couldn't get them to set.

Day 136: Sugar Cookie in One Minute
Original Source: Follow Foodiee
As this was a last minute impulse cooking session, sadly I do not have any of my own photos. The original above, however, is pretty darned accurate. Sorry for the disclaimer one more time, but I do NOT have a sweet tooth more than once a month or so. So I'm really not the best judge as to whether this would satisfy it for someone who loves and worships the sugar gods.
That said, Ew. EW EW EW. Nothing about this was yummy to me in the least. Ever hear the saying, "you get what you pay for?" Well, you get the taste you work for, too, sometimes. One cup, one minute, for one serving. I thought and hoped this would be a winner. And I suppose if you're desperate for one bite of something before bed, this might be the way you go. But not me. Tossing this sucker out of my recipe book! The texture alone was neither cookie nor pudding but some weirdness in between, and if a microwave had a flavor, this sucker was soaked in it.
Hope you have better luck than I did if you're still desperate enough to give it a go.

Day 112: Lemon Cookies
Original Source: Savoring the Spice
Guest blogger Laura Barone returns today with a goody she cooked up for her wee ones. Enjoy!
Laura:
These are called the Best Lemon Cookies, and I have to admit
I was a little skeptical. You see, I’m not fond of lemon or powdered sugar—two
ingredients in these cookies. Despite that, I am a sucker for a good lemon
cookie so figured since I had all the stuff in the house—minus the lemon—I
would give them a shot.
Oh, man, am I glad I did! These are simple to pull together.
The batter is a little thick, which is perfect since you
roll them in powder sugar before baking. These do not spread out a lot so go
for the full tablespoon ball and not the half-size ones I made.
As they bake, they get all crinkly and smell divine!
Wish you had smell-o-screen ‘cause I’m telling you, even if
you have a love/hate relationship with lemon, you will LOVE these cookies. They
have a hint of tartness from the lemon but the powdered sugar adds the right
amount of sweetness to make you say hmmm-hmmm-hmmm, can I have another, please.
Will definitely be making these again.

Day 27: Double Chocolate Pudding Cookies
Original Source: I Heart Naptime
See! I told you'd I'd have some chocolate recipes. Sadly, this means I didn't sample and resample them, but the one I did eat was milk worthy and the family devoured the rest. I goofed while mixing these, and nearly left out the eggs entirely. So they went in after dry ingredients as I tried to salvage. The turn out was still all right, but the cookies turned out a little flat. I'm no baker so I don't know if the egg issue was the reason for that.

Day 24: Puffy Vanilla and Peanut Butter Chip Cookies
Original Source: Six Sisters Stuff
As a chocolate non-lover, I LOVE finding good desserts that leave out cocoa. Especially peanut butter cookies, which is strange because I'm not even particularly fond of peanut butter in other recipes. Just cookies.
The recipe calls for chilling the dough for thirty minutes, and I decided to chill half of it, and cook the other half fresh just to see if there was any difference. If there was, no one in my family could tell.
YUM! Everyone liked them, though again, no one could tell a difference between the chilled dough version and cooking right away. Also, the peanut butter chips don't melt and get all gooey like chocolate chips. They were soft and creamy, but if you didn't get one in the bite, then you couldn't really tell it was a peanut butter cookie. It tasted more like a cinnamon sugar cookie or a mild snickerdoodle. Maybe putting some actual peanut butter in the mix or adding alot more chips might be more peanut buttery goodness.
Will definitely put this in my keeper box, however, and tweak it every now and then till I find what we like best.

Day 8: Cookie Bowls
Um, hi... you are sooooo sexy!
Original Source: Dating Divas
Believe it or not, this was super easy. Everyone loved it!
One thing, though... the recipe says it makes 8 or 9 or 10 of these suckers. I only got 4 of them. I'm guessing I didn't roll them thin enough, but in the end I only had 4 mouths to feed so no harm no foul.
